1. What is the Definition of Frit (PFA info about frit)?

Frits are the glassy phase we see on the top surface of the tile. It is obtained by fusing different crystalline materials at high temperatures of 1450–1550ºC. Frits come in different forms as per requirement, eg. Transparent, Opaque, Satin Matte, Rustic etc. Frit is a key ingredient of glaze.  Glazing is the application of one or more layers of glaze with a total thickness between 250 and 800 microns, covering the surface of the ceramic tile. Glazing makes the tile cleanable, glossy, coloured, textured and chemically and mechanically resistant. Aesthetics of tile depends on its fault-free glaze.

2. What are ceramic membranes used for?

Ceramic membranes are Cost Effective & Alternative Solution for for filtration in water, wastewater, process, non-water process and wide range of CIP applications. It is highly temperature, pressure, acid & solvent resistant; It has superior abrasion & chemical resistance and requires very less foot print to install. It has a long service life & is eco-friendly. Ceramic membranes are made of Alumina (Al₂O₃), Titania (TiO₂) or Zirconia (ZrO₂), with various geometrics & pore size. Ceramic membranes are alternative solution to conventional filtration & polymeric membranes.

3. Are ceramic stains toxic?

Ceramic stains (inorganic pigments) are used & acceptable in normal industrial use. However it shall not be swallowed. And in case there is any issue then immediate medical attention shall be seeked.

4. Where can I use Construction Chemicals?

Construction chemicals - Admixtures are used in ready-mix concrete to increase the workability of the concrete that means to achieve or modify the property of the concrete. Admixtures are ingredients that are added to the concrete batch immediately before or during mixing. They confer certain beneficial effects to concrete, including frost resistance, sulfate resistance, controlled setting and hardening, improved workability, increased strength, reducing the water cement ratio etc.

5. How does superplasticizer work in concrete?

Superplasticizers are used to increase the fluidity of concrete without adding excess water. It reduces water content by 10-30% to make a highly fluid but workable form of concrete known as flowing concrete. Superplasticizers are powerful water reducers that enable an increase in the ultimate stress of concrete by decreasing the water cement ratio, a decrease in the cement content while maintaining the same range of strength or workability etc.
