Noble Metal Catalyst
FCC Catalyst
Prism Johnson Limited offers new-generation fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts to petroleum refineries through cutting-edge technology well supported by our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. We have successfully marketed this product & currently supplying it to Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)
What is Fluidized catalytic cracking:
The catalytic cracking occurs when relatively high molecular weight hydrocarbon feedstocks are converted into lighter products by reactions taking place at elevated temperatures in the presence of a catalyst, with the majority of the conversion or cracking occurring in the vapor phase. The feedstock is converted into gasoline, distillate and other liquid-cracked products as well as lighter gaseous cracked products of four or fewer carbon atoms per molecule. The gas partly consists of olefins and partly of saturated hydrocarbons.
The requirements for gasoline quality continue to change, and the refiners must comply with the mandated octane ratings. FCC Catalysts and additives are used to maximize quality target fuel production, such as gasoline or diesel while minimizing undesirable cuts of hydrocarbons. They can increase the octane in gasoline production. They allow refineries to process heavier crude sources with higher levels of contaminates into clean fuels.
The FCC process produces higher yields of clean gasoline than thermal cracking processes and higher octane than hydrogen rich cracking processes such as Hydrocracking
This highly efficient FCC catalyst allows a refinery to maximize the yield of high value fuels from the high boiling range cut of heavier and cheaper crude oils.
Composition of FCC catalysts:
A modern FCC catalyst has four major components: crystalline zeolite, matrix, binder, and filler. Zeolite is the active component in FCC units. The alumina matrix component of an FCC catalyst also contributes to catalytic activity sites. The binder and filler components provide the physical strength and integrity of the catalyst. The binder is usually silica sol and the filler is usually clay.
What we offer:
⮞ Higher degree of catalytic efficiency
⮞ Superior attrition resistance
⮞ Our specially designed catalysts are less prone to coking.
⮞ Completely indigenous cost effective solution (a feet towards self -reliant India)
